Pre-16 events and activities for schools
Schools and colleges
It's never too soon for your students to start thinking about their future. What pathways could they take? What are their ambitions? What support is available?
Working with young people from groups that are under-represented in higher education, our KS2-KS4 events, workshops and activities encourage them to explore higher education, see opportunities and identify their passion. So they can shape the life and career they dream of.

Discover HE Days
KS3 – 11 May 2022, 13 May 2022 and 05 July 2022
KS4 – 7 July 2022
Our Discover HE events support students in learning about their options for higher education. At this stage of their education, they’re ready to explore bigger, broader, deeper things – to get to the heart of what matters and figure out how they can make their mark. They’re ready to explore their future.
Working with our students, they’ll get an insight into what it’s like to live and study at university. They’ll discover all the student finance facts and figures, what support and wellbeing services are available and tour our campus and facilities. Whatever their passion, Discover HE will help them go further.
27 April 2022
Our Creative Forces Day is for KS3-KS4 pupils of Armed Forces families. The on-campus day provides a taste of university, with a chance to work with other students who have a shared lived experience. Students will reflect on their unique skills and experiences to prepare for their future education and career steps.
The day also includes a CPD session for school staff who support children of armed forces families in school.
About our work
Our pre-16 activities are for young people under-represented in higher education.
These often include students from low income households and participation areas, military service families, young carers, in care or care leavers, estranged students and students from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
