Understanding and Managing Mental Health (for Managers) Short course

Awareness of mental health and wellbeing is growing, and more employers are introducing positive learning and development interventions to encourage a more open culture where people feel able to talk about their mental health.

As a line manager, it’s vital to be able to spot signs and symptoms of mental ill-health, lead a conversation and provide timely support and signposting to professional help, where needed.

This course covers what we mean by ‘mental health, signs and symptoms of illness - including stress - and the importance of self-care. Crucially, time is made for practical action-learning and high levels of interaction.
