University life is about much more than just studying. Discovering the local culture and exploring your new hometown – and the country around it too – is a big part of what makes studying abroad so memorable.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of events and activities for all our students. Take a look below for a small sample of the activities happening this year.
Due to Covid-19, we have had to reduce our offering of in-person social events in Teaching Block 1, but rest assured we are working on some exciting events for Teaching Block 2, including our ever-popular coach trips.
In the meantime, we will be offering an array of smaller social events and virtual social events. We’ll let you know about these via our Facebook Page and the WeAreGlobal newsletter, so keep a look out for further announcements!
You can also get involved with cultural events throughout the year, from Christmas Vacation socials to Chinese New Year celebrations, and even our Global Week - a week long programme of events, lectures and sports sessions to celebrate diversity here in Portsmouth. Keep up to date on these events on our official Global Community Facebook group.
As well as a whole Welcome Month of activities for you to experience, you can take part in our international orientation programme. Join our in-person orientation activities, and take part in orientation online or on-demand.
