Applying through UCAS Extra
If you’ve used all 5 choices on your UCAS application, you might be able to use UCAS Extra to apply to us.
UCAS Extra is useful if you’ve changed your mind since you submitted your UCAS application or you didn’t get the offers you wanted.
To use it you must have no offers and:
- used all 5 choices on your UCAS application
- received a decision for all 5 choices
Using UCAS Extra
If UCAS Extra is available to you, it will show when you track your application on UCAS. It's available from 25 February to 5 July. It's free to use.
Finding a course
Some of our courses fill up before Extra begins. But, like most universities, we still have spaces on many of our courses.
Bear in mind you can only apply for 1 course at a time with UCAS Extra.
Get a decision within 7 days
When you apply through UCAS, universities and colleges don’t have to give you a decision until 13 July.
When you apply to us through UCAS Extra, we’ll give you an update on your application within 7 days. So you know where you stand early on.
Applying with UCAS Apply
If you haven’t submitted a UCAS application yet, or you haven’t used all 5 choices on your application, you can still use the UCAS Apply service.
UCAS may charge you a small fee for this, depending on how many courses you applied for before and whether you’ve already submitted an application.
You'll need a UCAS Code for each course you apply for. You'll find these at the top of each course page. Our institution name is PORT and institution code is P80.
Applying to us directly
You can also apply directly to us online for free, no matter how many other courses you’ve applied for or how many offers you hold.
Choose a course and then complete the online application form, which you'll find at in the 'Apply' section on your course page. We’ll update you on your application within 14 days.
Getting help with your application
We can guide you through the application process and help you find the right course.
